Holocaust museum at Yad Vashem is located on so called Mt. Herzl, on the lands of the Palestinian village of Ayn Karim (Ein Karem), just 1,400 meters south of the Palestinian village of Deir Yassin.

Both villages were ethnically cleansed in 1948 by Israeli para-military forces, Irgun and Lehi. Deir Yassin villagers slaughtered.

Yad Vashem lists the names of over 19,000 non-Jews who risked their “lives, freedom, and safety in order to rescue one or several Jews from the threat of death or deportation to death camps without exacting in advance monetary compensation.”
